About The Position

Assembles parts of various materials such as plastic, metal, rubber to produce small products such as roller brackets, voice annunciators or subassemblies by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Positions parts in specified relationship to each other. Bolts, screws, clips, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together. Works at bench as member of assembly group assembling one or two specific parts and passing unit to another worker. Loads and unloads previously setup machines such as arbor presses, drill presses, taps, spot-welding machines, riveting machines, milling machines, or broaches, to perform fastening, force fitting, or light metal cutting operation on assembly line. Works at different work stations as production needs require or shifts from one station to another to reduce fatigue factor. Other duties may be assigned. What about the physical demands of the job? Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an indoor manufacturing environment. The employee will work in areas exposed to production activities including but not limited to production machinery, assembly operations, overhead crane usage, and forklift traffic. The employee will be required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to workplace hazards. Mental Demands: While performing the duties of this class, the employee is regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information, and documents; analyze and solve problems; use math and mathematical reasoning; observe and interpret situations; learn and apply new information or skills, and interact with other employees, customers, and vendors. You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary. Requirements

  • Able to work 2nd shift hours: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM; may be asked to work overtime and possible weekends.
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • 1+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Stand on concrete for 8-10 hours
  • Must possess the ability to use tools and equipment that are needed to perform the assembly operations in an industrial setting.
  • Must have good listening and communication skills.
  • Able to work well with others to be a good team player.
