About The Position

The Assembler I will build sub-assemblies and assemblies involving complex and repetitive wiring for Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS). This role requires following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), performing visual inspections of materials before and after assembly, and using various fixtures, gauges, hand tools, and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair products. The Assembler I is responsible for inspecting completed assemblies to ensure compliance with Raleigh Plant Quality standards and making necessary adjustments to meet quality goals. Additionally, the position requires adherence to environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations, providing process and safety improvement ideas, and ensuring machines and tools are properly calibrated while performing housekeeping duties using 5S+ principles.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution

  • Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to distinguish colored wiring
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with standard operating procedures
  • Previous experience with product electrical assembly, maintenance and/or repair
  • Soldering experience
  • Basic experience with computers

Responsibilities

  • You will ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+.
