Overview The Assembler I performs the set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies. In addition, they determine & may develop test specifications, methods, and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • No experience is required in area of responsibility.
  • Convey excellent oral and written communication.
  • Ability to operate soldering equipment.
  • Ability to interpret documents, work instructions, engineering change notices, drawing deviations, and schematics.
  • Familiar with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention.
  • Familiarity with electronic components, assemblies and manufacturing techniques is required
  • Applicable experience in lieu of a Degree may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all soldering tasks within IPC class 3 standards.
  • Performs incorporation of Drawing Deviations (DDN), Engineering Change (ECN), and visual aids.
  • Maintains and operates soldering equipment.
  • Assists in the development of Travelers and Work Instructions.
  • Assists in the development of team goals and objectives.
  • Identifies methods to utilize Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and techniques (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) to reduce cycle time, defects, and costs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Conducts internal Manufacturing Process Audits on site and off site as necessary
