About The Position

Entry level production position, assembles and stages sub assembly and the preparation of materials for the production assembly, integration and shipping process.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of one year electro-mechanical assembly experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variable in standardized situations.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to utilize a personal computer and related software and/or automated inventory control software.

Responsibilities

  • Performs de-trashing duties of raw materials for the production process.
  • Unpacks and prepares computer hardware for assembly.
  • Verify component part numbers and identifiers against Bills of Materials or detailed parts lists.
  • Documents nonconforming materials and refers to production technician or supervisor for disposition, failure analysis and corrective action.
  • Reports shortages or line stoppage to appropriate personnel.
  • Performs a variety of operations ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive assembly functions to produce top-level products.
  • Uses and follow work instructions, specifications, bills of material and process manual to produce top-level assemblies.
  • Aligns, fits, and assembles components parts, using hand tools, power tools and templates.
  • Produce top-level assemblies in the lean manufacturing production cells and in batch production processes.
  • Performs inspection duties, for work completed, to ensure that product configuration is achieved.
  • Organizes and prepares sub assembled accessories.
  • Assembles subassemblies, basic computer and mechanical hardware as needed.
  • Packages and prepares computer systems for shipment.
  • Participates in Kaizan events.
  • Promotes continual improvement in processes throughout the company.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required by the Company.
