The Assembler I performs routine and repetitive tasks on basic assemblies and checks parts for quality and function. This is the entry/trainee level Assembler. Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English with a demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Able to perform basic math calculations.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot problems when necessary.
  • Must be able to operate the required hand tools and fixtures.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine assembly tasks working directly with a trainer, such as: Assembles electrical and mechanical components.
  • Packages products while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
  • Water Spider (inventory movement support): facilitates workflow, including stocking bins, pallets, cardboard, and general material handling.
  • Frequently operates tools/equipment such as hand tools, pneumatics tools, testing equipment, and fixtures, while using required personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety guidelines.
  • Routinely follows work and test instructions to perform tasks.
  • May troubleshoot and repair assemblies as necessary, referring situations outside of instruction to the trainer, unit specialist or supervisor.
  • Achieves and maintains established safety, quality, and productivity standards.
  • Must not pose a risk to self or others.
