About The Position

Senspex in is seeking to hire an Assembler/Electronics Technician II for our Production Department located in Rio Rancho, NM. The Assembler/Electronic Technician II is responsible for assisting in the assembly, testing, and repair of sensor components and systems. This position constructs, maintains, and tests electrical systems and components, uses measuring and diagnostic tools to test and modify electronic parts, and ensures systems and components meet established specifications. This position will also provide professional repair and maintenance services, and work with internal and external customers on various technical projects and tasks. Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Engineering, Electronics Technology or other related technical field; or equivalent certifications plus three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • Knowledge of sensor system component assembly, testing, service, and troubleshooting
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work within the United States
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug test
  • Must possess acceptable forms of identification under the REAL ID Act
  • May require obtaining a U.S. DoD security clearance. Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance in order to work on projects/programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble surveillance equipment and electro-optical surveillance systems and other related electronic assemblies
  • Assemble, solder and terminate cable assemblies
  • Install system wiring and perform complete set-up and initial testing
  • Perform diagnosis, repair, verification, testing, calibration, and complex troubleshooting processes relating to the repair of surveillance equipment, thermal imaging cameras, and pan and tilt positioning systems
  • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and field representatives as necessary
  • Complete new assemblies and repairs in a timely and professional manner in accordance with recommended procedures
