Asphalt Plant Supervisor
About The Position
Works under the direction of the Manager of Street Maintenance. Directs and coordinates asphalt production for use in the City's paving program and for asphalt repair. Schedules material deliveries to ensure asphalt production schedules are met. Develops preventive maintenance program and oversees regular plant maintenance. Adjusts production schedules to meet work demand and/or staff shortages. Performs tasks necessary for production of various asphalt mixes to meet specifications and standards set by either the City or the Asphalt Institute. Provides supervision and training for subordinate personnel. Evaluates and analyzes reports on asphalt-related issues and prepares weekly reports as requested by manager. Prepares time sheets for subordinate personnel.
