Arcadis is currently seeking an Asphalt Plant Inspector to join our team in Chattanooga, TN. In this role you will use your years of inspection experience to monitor, sample, test and verify the quality of asphalt being produced for TDOT projects. Requirements

3 or more years of experience of asphalt plant inspection
TDOT Plant Technician and Asphalt Mix Design certifications
Ability to work in a lab environment, including corresponding safety requirements
Knowledge and experience with equipment used in the testing of asphalt
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret contract specifications
Maintain detailed records
Proficiency with computer applications, and computer software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and others).

Responsibilities

Report to the Arcadis’ Region 2 Senior Construction Manager and keep good communications.
Provide inspection and quality assurance at asphalt plants as required by TDOT.
Perform lab tests on asphalt mix designs.
Determine if material produced adheres to TDOT specifications.
Maintain accurate records and reports related to the material and providing in a timely manner.
Coordinate with other technicians and stakeholders as required.
