Asphalt Mobile Plant Operative Salary £38,000 per year, with the potential to earn up to £50,000 through weekly bonus and overtime. Location: Abingdon Sutton Courtenay Hours: 39.5 Join Our Team as an Asphalt Plant Operator! We’re looking for a dedicated safety focused individual to operate, inspect, and maintain our asphalt plant, ensuring the production of high-quality materials that meet company standards. this role, you will be responsible for operating, inspecting, and maintaining the asphalt plant to ensure consistent production of high‑quality materials that meet company standards. Perform weighbridge duties, including weighing vehicles in and out and loading asphalt accurately. Primarily to operate, inspect and maintain an asphalt plant in order to produce materials which comply with the company quality specifications. Weighbridge duties, to include, weighing vehicles in and out, loading of Asphalt, and have good communication with the order office of any production changes To plan the next day’s production according to customer requirements and plant capabilities. Start-up & shut-down routines and maximising throughput within the capacity of the plant. Inspection & monitoring of plant in accordance with the site regime. Maintenance and repair of the plant within their scope and competence & keep accurate records in accordance with management requirements. Re-fuelling of machines – both static and mobile. Operation of mobile plant – FEL for loading and plant feed & dumper for mineral movement – as required by site management. To be able to operate machines in a safe and proper manner. To undertake maintenance works to static and mobile plant as required by manufacturer and Heidelberg Materials To undertake these duties at other Heidelberg sites in the area within reasonable travelling distance where transport or travelling allowance may be provided if the distance exceeds the normal journey.

Requirements

Good general education required, and large amount of health and safety regulations and Quarry Regulations are required to be understood and carried out.
Certification by EPIC to operate mobile plant, (training will be given)
NVQ level 2 in mobile plant operations required following EPIC completion. (training will be given)
