About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Loader Operator to load and move aggregate materials at the asphalt plant in Fort Smith. The successful candidate will ensure a steady flow of raw materials to support efficient plant operations while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in heavy equipment operation preferred
• 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment, with experience in a construction setting preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor as needed

Responsibilities

• Operate a front-end loader to move and load aggregates, sand, and recycled asphalt into bins or hoppers
• Maintain proper stockpile management and material flow for plant production
• Ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest level of quality
• Maintain equipment and perform basic repairs as needed
• Assist with plant cleanup and general labor as needed
• Communicate effectively with plant operators and team members to ensure smooth operations
• Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction projects
• Other duties as assigned
