About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Project Manager / Estimator to oversee paving and asphalt maintenance projects from pre-construction estimating through final completion. This role combines detailed cost estimating, crew coordination, and field oversight to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate has strong experience in asphalt paving operations and demonstrates leadership in managing multiple projects efficiently.

Requirements

Proven experience in asphalt paving, road construction, or related project management
Strong estimating, cost control, and project coordination capabilities
Knowledge of paving operations, materials, and production scheduling
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Professional client-facing communication and leadership skills
Proficiency with estimating and project management software preferred
Valid driver’s license and ability to visit job sites as required

Responsibilities

Manage asphalt paving, resurfacing, and maintenance projects from bid award through closeout
Prepare detailed takeoffs, cost estimates, and competitive proposals for paving scopes
Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and material suppliers
Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
Track change orders, documentation, and cost performance
Monitor job-site progress to ensure quality and schedule compliance
Communicate proactively with clients and internal teams to manage scope and expectations
Support smooth transition from estimating phase to active construction
