About The Position

Kokosing Materials Inc. (KMI) is seeking a talented candidate with proven leadership skills and an outgoing personality to join our Business Development team. The Account Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients while providing support to the sales, accounting and plant operation teams to ensure our customers are efficiently cared for. This role involves managing client accounts along with Team Members, to deliver the highest quality solutions to our customers. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to manage people and projects effectively. This role requires outstanding people skills, consistency and a proven ability to solve problems using teamwork. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask and to think on their feet, providing quick, effective solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience leading a team and managing people.
  • 5+ years in the asphalt industry.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Proven experience leading a team and managing direct reports.
  • Established computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have proficiency in Excel functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a self-starter and have a willingness to assist with a variety of customer service tasks.
  • Demonstrate good judgement and problem resolution skills.
  • Be a team player and self-motivated.
  • Attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Work with corresponding departments maintaining accurate inventory reports and forecasting.
  • Lead, develop and engage team members to grow and develop within the department.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships by traveling to customers and fielding calls.
  • Work with the sales department on supply bids, bid bonds and timely delivery.
  • Work with the QC department to provide technical mix design documents to customers including Department of Transportation.
  • Monitor lien rights and documents.
  • Responsible for accurate reporting.
  • Works closely with accounting on invoices, receivables and billing issues.
  • Works with the team on daily scheduling to maintain plant efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
