The Advanced Sensor Products factory assembler will perform a wide variety of tasks in support of a manufacturing/production environment. Duties include assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, fabrication, repair and/or inspection of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems, chassis and antennas. The successful candidate may set up and operate a variety of machine tools and hand tools, as well as dispatch and expedite flow of material.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. Citizen - the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience with the use of common hand tools (screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, etc.)
  • Experience with circuit card assembly production, rework, and repair
  • Hold and maintain active J-STD-001 solder certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a Manufacturing, Assembly, or Aviation Environment with hands on technical experience in the repair, installation, inspection, or maintenance of mechanical / electrical assemblies.

  • Perform wire/cable preparation, installation, and torquing using hand tools
  • support Production, Sustainment and Development manufacturing activities onsite in Plano, Texas and occasionally supporting assembly activities at an ASP Integration site in Dallas, Texas
  • Work with production resources and teammates to meet production goals
  • Perform repetitive tasks in accordance with an established process
  • Perform in-process inspections in accordance with company standards and customer specifications.
