Cambridge Rindge & Latin School (CRLS) is a comprehensive high school divided into four Learning Communities designed to promote high levels of learning and achievement for all students. Honors courses are offered in all core classes (English, History, Mathematics, and Science); Advanced Placement (AP) courses are available to qualified students in grades 11 and 12. The educational ASL interpreter’s primary function is to facilitate communication among students and staff district-wide who are deaf or hard of hearing, their hearing peers, colleagues, and other personnel in the school system. The educational ASL interpreter provides interpreting and support services to students and staff who are deaf or hard of hearing and are being educated or teaching with Cambridge Public Schools. Other duties that may be performed when they do not interfere with interpreting include tutoring, participation in meetings, and being an active member of the school’s educational team. This position reports directly to the JK-12 World Language Director.
