About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) w/ American Sign Language (ASL) to join the team in Morganton, NC, working for a specific client. BAYADA’s special needs caregivers - Direct Support Professionals DSPs - work one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disability to help them reach their full potential. Requirements

• One year of experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities ( If you do not have this experience, training is available through our apprentice program )
• Ability to communicate using ASL (Fluent in ASL is preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be located in NC

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance with daily hygiene (bathing, dressing, etc.)
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Participate in community integration activities
