Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania invites applications for temporary faculty positions (full-time one semester, part-time one semester or part-time academic year) as needs arise in the Department of Exceptionality Programs, ASL /English Interpreting Program. The Department of Exceptionality Programs houses ASL /English Interpreting programming at the undergraduate level which prepares students to interpret as entry level interpreters. Duties Based on the specific needs of the department at the time of appointment, a successful applicant must be qualified to teach all of the courses in the category of application. These categories include: American Sign Language ( ASL ) Courses ASL /English Interpreting Courses Candidates will indicate which category(ies) match their qualifications. Candidates may check all that apply. Possible course(s) may include : American Sign Language ( ASL ) Courses- ASL 1, ASL 2, ASL 3, Deaf Culture, ASL Literature, and other ASL related courses. ASL /English Interpreting Courses- Introduction to Interpreting, Interpreting Instruction, Practicum Seminar, Practicum, and other related courses. The location for these temporary positions varies with the expectation of serving a multi-campus University within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.
