Ascend Intern - Sports Turf Managment
About The Position
Position will be posted until filled. Hiring managers will actively review applications, scheduling interviews, and hiring candidates as they see fit. Learn all aspects of turf management at Sherman Park or Harmodon Park. Lead all aspects of maintaining grounds at an athletic complex. Responsible for weekly water management, mowing schedule and mowing, fertilizer applications, overseeding applications, and aeration. Diagnose irrigation issues and perform repairs. Attend and participate in project management, event coordination, and stake holder relationship functions. This is a 2026 summer internship.
Requirements
- Students enrolled in a Turf Management, Sports Management, or Parks and Recreation related curriculum, as a full-time student at a college, university, or vocational technical school.
- Ability to work as a team member and collaborate effectively with others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work a 40-hour flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
