Requirements
- Basic knowledge of banking/accounting/finance field
- Basic analytical skills using financial and accounting principles
- Ability to form strong relationships with people
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
- Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and meet Commerce Bank’s driving record criteria; ongoing employment may be contingent upon meeting all driving requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a business related field, with a preference for majors in Finance or Accounting (9 hours Finance/6 hours Accounting).
Nice To Haves
- 1+ years of banking and/or financial services experience preferred
- Demonstrated sales experience (retail, banking, etc.) preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis on companies of diverse industries and sizes
- Work with seasoned commercial bankers to conduct comprehensive financial analysis for commercial loan requests
- Research key underwriting criteria including loan structure, cash flow, collateral, competition, and industry considerations
- Perform other duties as assigned
