We are seeking a detail-oriented and certified Asbestos & Mold Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough property inspections, collecting samples, documenting findings, and providing clear, accurate reports to clients. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings in a professional and understandable manner. Requirements

  • State certification or license as an Asbestos Inspector (required where applicable)
  • Mold Assessor/Inspector certification (preferred or required depending on state)
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and local environmental regulations
  • Experience with moisture meters, air sampling pumps, and other inspection tools
  • Strong report writing and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to access crawlspaces, attics, rooftops, and confined spaces
  • Comfortable wearing PPE and respirators as required

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in asbestos and/or mold inspection
  • Experience in residential, commercial, and industrial properties
  • Background in environmental science, construction, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Conduct residential and commercial inspections for asbestos-containing materials and mold growth
  • Perform site assessments, moisture mapping, and visual evaluations
  • Collect bulk, air, and surface samples in accordance with regulatory guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state/local regulations
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, including photographs and laboratory results
  • Clearly explain findings and recommended next steps to clients
  • Maintain accurate documentation and chain-of-custody procedures
  • Coordinate with remediation teams when necessary
  • Stay current on industry standards, safety procedures, and regulatory changes
