The AS-IS Drafting Coordinator (MEP) is responsible for developing accurate AS-IS condition drawing sets in support of facility management and ongoing building operations. This role consolidates original construction documents, record drawings, and documented field modifications into coordinated drawing sets, with a strong emphasis on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. The position requires a strong understanding of how building systems are documented and how these records are used by facility and maintenance teams. The AS-IS Project Manager works closely with cross-functional teams and on-site maintenance staff to establish efficient workflows that support repairs, asset tracking, and day-to-day facility operations. Deliverables must be accurate, consistent, and suitable for long-term facility use.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in M echanical, Electrical, Architecture, or related engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience working with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in existing facilities
  • 5+ years of proficiency in AutoCAD, including production, coordination, and maintenance of MEP drawing sets
  • Demonstrated experience producing and maintaining existing-condition and record drawing documentation
  • Strong ability to interpret MEP construction documents, record drawings, and field markups
  • Ability to accurately document system layouts, equipment locations, and major distribution paths
  • Solid knowledge of Revit for model navigation, review, coordination, and exporting drawings to CAD and PDF formats
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and manage architectural, structural, and MEP drawing sets
  • Experience consolidating information from multiple drawing sources into a single coordinated deliverable
  • Ability to coordinate with facility maintenance staff and incorporate field-verified information into drawing updates
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet established schedules in an active facilities environment
