About The Position

St. Rose of Lima Catholic School in Franklin, Indiana is seeking a dynamic and creative PreK–8 Art Teacher to join our faith-filled school community. This educator will inspire students to explore their creativity while supporting the mission of Catholic education. The ideal candidate will cultivate artistic expression, integrate faith into instruction, and create a positive, engaging classroom environment for students of all grade levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Art Education or related field required
• Indiana teaching license (or ability to obtain) preferred
• Experience teaching elementary and/or middle school students preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging art lessons for students in PreK through 8th grade
• Teach a variety of artistic techniques, media, and art history concepts
• Foster creativity, critical thinking, and appreciation for the arts
• Integrate Catholic values and teachings into lessons and classroom culture
• Assess student learning and provide feedback on progress
• Maintain an organized, safe, and welcoming art classroom
• Display student artwork and contribute to school-wide events and showcases
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student success
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities
