Job Summary St. Stephen Protomartyr Catholic School is seeking a creative, engaging, and faith‑filled Art Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The Art Teacher is responsible for providing high‑quality visual arts instruction that encourages creativity, skill development, and self‑expression while supporting the academic and spiritual growth of students in a Christ‑centered learning environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art, Education, or a related field
  • Ability to teach art to children in an elementary or middle school setting
  • Strong organizational, classroom management, and communication skills
  • Dependable, creative, and professional demeanor
  • Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education

Nice To Haves

  • Valid teaching certification or eligibility
  • Previous experience teaching art in a school setting
  • Experience working with a variety of age levels and skill ranges
  • Practicing Catholic or willingness to support Catholic faith practices

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate art lessons for students
  • Introduce and reinforce art concepts, techniques, and art history
  • Foster creativity, imagination, and appreciation for the arts
  • Integrate faith, culture, and creativity into art instruction when appropriate
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging art classroom
  • Display student artwork and support school‑wide art projects and events
  • Communicate effectively with school administration and classroom teachers
  • Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback
  • Support students’ academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development
  • Follow all school policies and Archdiocesan guidelines
  • Model Christian values and uphold the mission of Catholic education
