About The Position

The ARGONAUT Art Director is a creative who tells inspiring stories, sells thoughtfulIdeas, is a creative storyteller, and makes beautiful work for their client, alongside their Copywriter partner.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of experience as an Art Director within the Advertising Industry, in-house creative teams, or related fields
  • Art Director portfolio, or “spec” portfolio demonstrating strong creative abilities
  • Excellent oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to present and justify creative ideas
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field preferred
  • experience with Figma, After Effects, or Premiere is a plus
  • Strong understanding of social platforms, digital media, and integrated campaign development a plus
  • Experience in photo and video shoots, including art direction and post-production
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Create and refine visual concepts for marketing campaigns, aligning them with brand guidelines and target audiences
  • Ideate with copywriter on visuals and own creative work from brief toconcept to production to completion on given project across any and all brands within the agency
  • Collaborate with Strategy, Brand Management and Production to ensure ideas are on brief and within budget
  • Craft beautiful presentations full of arresting visualsDirect the development and implementation of visual elements, including typography, layout, and overall visual style.
  • Develop and execute original, on-brand visual concepts across a wide range of platforms (digital, social, film/video, experiential, OOH, print)
  • Translate strategic briefs into compelling creative solutions with a strong visual identityWork closely with producers, designers, editors, and external vendors to bring concepts to life through production
  • Maintain high visual and executional standards, ensuring brand consistency and attention to detail throughout the processUse new technology to bring ideas to life
  • Presents work with charm

  • Sees projects through production, ensuring the end output is nothing short of perfection.
