About The Position

The POWER Youth Summer Employment Program offers an internship for Art Associates. This program is designed for youth aged 14-15, providing career exploration and work experience. Selected associates will engage in daily art activities, learning various art formats and working towards creating a self-portrait or group mural. The program also incorporates social emotional learning sessions covering job readiness, retention, job training, customer service, conflict resolution, anger management, mindfulness, financial management, and communication/public speaking. A holistic approach includes fitness activities. The POWER Youth program, previously known as Opportunity NOW, provides career exploration and work experience activities for youth 14 to 24 years old. The program aims to teach 'work ready' skills for future employment through project-based work.

Requirements

• Must be youth ages 14-15
• Attend assigned worksite for scheduled times
• Be on site at agencies Monday-Friday at the time scheduled by employer
