Location: Canopy Jersey City Arts District Position: Arrival Enthusiast / Door & Valet Captain (Part-Time) Schedule: Thursday–Sunday (flexible) Reports To: Director of Front Office Summary: Oversee front drive and bell services while ensuring a smooth, welcoming arrival and departure experience for all guests.
Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Team-oriented with a proactive, professional attitude
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift luggage
- Flexible schedule, including weekends
Nice To Haves
- Prior hotel or hospitality experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly on arrival and departure
- Supervise front drive operations, valet flow, and bell staff
- Assist with luggage handling, storage, and deliveries
- Coordinate with front desk, valet, and other departments
- Track baggage, guest requests, and deliveries accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of front drive and lobby areas
- Recognize VIPs and returning guests; anticipate guest needs
- Ensure safety, security, and proper handling of guest property
- Assist with group arrivals, special requests, and daily operations
