About The Position

Firestorm is seeking a proactive Army Portfolio Manager to drive full-spectrum engagement with the U.S. Army. In close partnership with the Director of Army Partnerships, you will own end-to-end business development activities focused on our expeditionary additive manufacturing and modular unmanned systems. This role sits at the intersection of Army operational needs, acquisition processes, and innovative technology delivery. You will identify opportunities, build key relationships, inform strategy, and translate Firestorm’s capabilities into mission-critical solutions for the warfighter.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field; equivalent military experience is suitable in lieu of.
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to ITAR regulations, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
  • Combat-tested Army veteran or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in Army operations, rapid acquisitions, fielding, or defense business development.
  • Experience in the operational employment, fielding, and program management of sUAS, Counter-UAS, C2 systems, and supply in contested environments.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. Army operational priorities, procurement processes, and force protection/sustainment needs.
  • Strong relationship builder with experience interfacing with operational units, military leaders, program offices, and coalition partners.
  • Skilled communicator who can bridge technical concepts and operational requirements for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, both CONUS & OCONUS

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience in fielding in new technology and rapid capability pathways (e.g., leading new MTOE organization focused on sUAS or AM or similar).
  • Hands-on familiarity with additive manufacturing, modular autonomous systems, or related technologies.
  • Background in maneuver warfare, multi-domain operations, and Army modernization priorities.
  • Proposal development and capture experience.
  • Prior program management roles involving fielding systems like UAS, C-UAS, electronic warfare assets and additive manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Support Army business development end-to-end: conduct market analysis, identify opportunities in expeditionary additive manufacturing and modular unmanned systems, shape requirements, support proposals, and drive toward contract awards.
  • In partnership with the Director of Army Partnerships, execute sales activities, inform overall business strategy, identify potential industry and government partnerships, and build/manage high-value relationships with Army stakeholders.
  • Develop deep knowledge of Army programmatic roadmaps, acquisition processes, and competitive landscape to position Firestorm effectively.
  • Navigate Army budget cycles, rapid acquisition authorities, and modernization initiatives to close capability gaps.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities in additive manufacturing and autonomous systems into compelling value propositions for Army missions in contested environments.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to refine products based on direct feedback from operational users.
  • Represent Firestorm at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements (e.g., AUSA, SOF Week, Army experimentation events, etc.).
  • Track pipeline health, manage BD metrics, and provide strategic insights to leadership.
