About The Position

Join the Nalley Consulting team as an Arms Transfer Analyst. Conducts analysis using intelligence and information from multiple sources to assess, interpret, forecast, and explain a range of national security issues and developments that are regional or functional in nature. Provides all-source analytic support to collections, operations, investigations, and other defense intelligence analytic requirements. Performs Arms Transfers Analysis and updates the database. Researches, reviews, edits, plans, prepares, integrates and publishes complex all source arms transfers national military intelligence studies, plans, and/or products in order to contribute to or produce all-source intelligence for DIA, DoD, national and international intelligence organizations. Develops innovative analytical approaches and validation of analytical conclusions. Maintains expertise on state-to-state negotiations, agreements, and deliveries of conventional weapons. Develops opportunity analysis.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with defense industries analysis or all-source intelligence analysis on military capabilities
  • Ability to develop high-quality deliverables tailored to senior policymakers or defense stakeholders, including complex written products and formal or informal briefings
  • Knowledge of ICD 203/206 analytic tradecraft standards
  • Knowledge of the IC and Combatant Command environment.
  • TS/SCI with willingness to take CI polygraph
  • 3+ years of experience and bachelor's degree OR 7+ years of experience in lieu of degree

Responsibilities

  • Conducts analysis of networks, organizations, or government entities enabling or participating in legal weapons transfers.
  • Identifies intelligence gaps, specifies collection requirements to fill gaps in information, evaluates resulting intelligence collected in response to requirements and determines analytical approach.
  • Identifies significant trends within assigned subject-matter area and proposes new or revised analytical projects to alert decision-makers to new developments and to meet customer requirements.
  • Provides written and briefing input to policymakers on key trends.
  • Collaborates and forges new partnerships with other Intelligence Community, Defense Intelligence Enterprise, DoD and law enforcement analysts on intelligence analysis and with collectors.
