To learn more about our company, please visit our website at www.securityengineersinc.com Security Engineers, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer Role: The Armed Supervising Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors by enforcing established security policies and procedures. This role requires carrying a firearm, exercising sound judgment, and responding to potential threats in a calm, professional manner. Duties include conducting patrols, monitoring surveillance and access control systems, responding to alarms and emergencies, maintaining accurate reports and logs, and coordinating with law enforcement as needed. The officer also performs site-specific administrative duties to support daily operations. Strong situational awareness, integrity, customer service skills, and the ability to remain composed under pressure are essential. The officer must be properly licensed, trained in firearm safety, and fully compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. Note: Duties, qualifications, skills, and requirements listed are not exhaustive. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as business or client needs evolve.

Requirements

  • Must have a Valid Arkansas State Security Officer/Guard License
  • 21+ years old.
  • Must pass armed training and possess a valid pistol permit.
  • Basic administrative skills required, including data entry, phone/email communication, scheduling, and document management
  • Ability to perform in fast-paced, potentially stressful environments.
  • Availability to work weekends if needed.
  • Strong situational awareness and curiosity.
  • Ability to remain calm, problem-solve, and act effectively during critical situations.
  • Basic computer skills; ability to use a tablet for reporting.
  • Stand or sit at least 1 hour without support or break.
  • Walk at least ½ mile without stopping.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to obtain any & all security certifications/licenses

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 3+ year of verifiable security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

  • Security Operations: Conduct regular walking patrols to enhance safety and report concerns.
  • Monitor facility access points; verify IDs and credentials.
  • Enforce security procedures per Post Instructions.
  • Incident Response & Reporting: Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol.
  • Maintain accurate activity, observation, and incident logs.
  • Complete routine tasks such as locking/unlocking doors, monitoring cameras, and managing security systems.
  • Customer Service & Professionalism: Assist visitors and employees and address concerns professionally.
  • Enforce SEI and Client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking).
  • Maintain a clean, pressed uniform and professional appearance.
