As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. You will interact with customers and staff, offering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • An Armed Guard Card or License is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badges is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the financial institution's premises and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized activity within the location.
  • Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance concerns observed during patrols.
  • Work closely with Allied Universal management and site leadership to address security-related needs and/or concerns specific to the financial institution environment.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
  • Adhere to all site-specific protocols, including those related to the handling and use of firearms, while on duty.
