As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a highly visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with calm, professional communication. You will document observations, coordinate with site contacts and public resources, and deliver customer-focused assistance. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and document entries, exits, and unusual activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site personnel and/or public responders as needed.
  • Complete timely written reports and activity logs, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts, and assist with investigations by preserving observations and relevant information.
