Position Overview We are seeking a professional Armed Security Officer for a first-shift assignment at a secure jewelry manufacturing facility in Rhode Island. This role focuses on access control, employee and visitor screening, asset protection, and maintaining a controlled production environment within a high-value manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong professionalism, attention to detail, situational awareness, and the ability to operate calmly and consistently in a regulated industrial setting.
Requirements
- Valid Rhode Island armed security license
- Valid permit to carry
- Prior armed security, law enforcement, military, or high-security facility experience preferred
- Strong communication and professionalism in a workplace environment
- High attention to detail and rule compliance
- Ability to operate reliably in a structured manufacturing environment
- Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality
- Ability to pass national and state background checks
- Ability to meet all client-specific clearance requirements
Responsibilities
- Armed access control at designated entry points
- Verifying employee credentials, visitors, vendors, and deliveries
- Monitoring controlled areas, production zones, and secured storage locations
- Maintaining a visible and professional security presence throughout the facility
- Enforcing site security procedures, safety protocols, and access policies
- Monitoring foot traffic and vehicle activity
- Responding to alarms, incidents, and irregular activity
- Completing accurate activity logs and incident reports
- Coordinating with site leadership and law enforcement when required
