Job Description Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Armed Security Officer for a State Facility in Watertown MA Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8 AM - 6 PM Starting Pay is $25.88 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training Candidate is Required to Have a Concealed Carry Permit and 1+ Years of Previous Security Experience As a Security Officer in Watertown, MA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting visible patrols and monitoring assigned government locations. Your role includes providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability. Requirements
- Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and sound judgment.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
- Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas, verifying credentials as required by site protocols.
- Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related concerns, or property damage to the appropriate authorities and Allied Universal management.
- Assist law enforcement or emergency personnel when requested, maintaining professionalism and composure at all times.
- Complete detailed written reports and documentation of all incidents, patrols, and security-related activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to authorized personnel and visitors.
