Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Patrol Armed Officer at a retail location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and respond to various situations with professionalism. This role requires both an active armed guard license and driving responsibilities. Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and first aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted behavior within the retail environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to observe activity and report any irregularities or concerns.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management, client representatives, and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Complete required reports and documentation regarding incidents, patrols, and/or other security-related activities as directed by Allied Universal policies.
