As a Security Officer Armed Campus Patrol in Surry, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures and supporting approved access control and other security-related activities at a government transportation location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting supervisors, first responders, and/or designated personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, road access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and sensitive infrastructure for policy compliance, documenting observations, reporting concerns, and supporting security-related investigations when appropriate.
Prepare accurate reports on daily activities, patrol findings, incidents, and/or emergency response actions, and assist with traffic, visitor, and contractor coordination as directed by site procedures.
