Job Description As a Armed Security Officer - Full Time in San Antonio, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols at a retail location to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. This role requires driving and carrying a firearm as part of your daily responsibilities. You will engage with the public, deliver exceptional customer service, and support a welcoming environment, all while upholding Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.
Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Level III armed security license is required for positions in Texas only.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at retail locations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed presence as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor for suspicious activity and report any unusual circumstances according to established guidelines.
- Assist with emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and/or client protocols.
- Communicate professionally with clients, employees, and visitors while performing security-related duties.
- Complete required reports and documentation related to incidents and daily activities.
