As an Armed Security Officer - Morning Shipyard Patrol in San Diego, CA, the role involves serving and safeguarding clients in industries such as Aero/Defense. This position requires monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. The officer will support site operations with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity, contributing to a caring, reliable, and innovative environment.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with site post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and document security-related activities, observations, and incidents in accordance with site protocols.
  • Support security-related operations by communicating with site contacts, assisting with emergency procedures, and maintaining preparedness for changing conditions throughout the location.
