As a Security Officer Patrol in BRANCHBURG, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service. The team is agile, reliable, and innovative, prioritizing people and acting with integrity daily.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a technology and communications location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through proper channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, work areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, verify credentials as required by site policies, and assist with visitor, employee, and contractor entry procedures in support of daily operations.
Communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or local responders when needed, and complete routine reports related to patrol activity, incidents, and observed maintenance or policy issues.
