You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication and strong customer service. This role requires an Armed Guard Card or License and offers a fast-paced environment where you can bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift. Position Type: Part Time, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts. Armed guard card holders are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Have an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around government transportation facilities, buildings, parking areas and perimeter.
  • Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Carry and maintain assigned duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, state requirements and post orders.
  • Help to control access at entrances, gates and/or secured areas by verifying identification, monitoring visitor check-in and directing foot and vehicle traffic.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms and/or dispatch communications; promptly report unusual activity and coordinate response with site representatives and public agencies as directed.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs and other required documentation; communicate key information to the next shift during post turnover.
  • Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, medical calls and/or facility lockdown actions as directed by post orders and responding authorities.
  • Provide a visible uniformed presence to help to deter inappropriate behavior, trespassing and/or property damage in and around the location.
  • Operate radios, phones and other communications equipment; maintain professional, clear and timely communication with supervisors and site contacts.
