About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Utility Patrol in Nashville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol utility locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. This role requires driving and carrying a firearm while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

At least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military is required.
You must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the utility location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible security-related presence.
Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity, reporting findings according to established protocols.
Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing assistance or guidance as needed.
Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrols, and any security-related observations or actions taken during the shift.
Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and local authorities when required.
