As a Armed Security Officer - Transit Perimeter Patrol in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support riders and staff with clear communication and customer service. This post requires an armed guard card and/or license. At Allied Universal, you will work with a caring, people-first team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, always acting with integrity.

Requirements

• Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by following site-specific protocols, access requirements, and/or emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, transit-related facilities, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and critical incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and local public agencies as needed.
• Monitor cameras, radios, and other communications systems, document security-related activity, and complete reports and logs in a timely manner.
• Carry and maintain issued equipment in accordance with policy and applicable regulations, including performing post checks, controlled access screening, and/or escort duties as directed.
