About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Responder in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and provide clear, professional customer service and communication while using technology as needed. Requirements

  • Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.
  • Baton permit highly preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transit location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter routes, monitoring for suspicious activity and helping to deter prohibited behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, coordination with on-site staff, and/or requesting law enforcement or medical resources as needed.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, monitoring entry points, and maintaining a visible presence consistent with post orders and applicable regulations.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and/or required documentation, and communicate observations and status updates to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
