As a Armed Security Officer - Residential Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a residential location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post, offering the opportunity to support residents and guests with professionalism, integrity, and teamwork while making a meaningful impact each day.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the residential location, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual activity, property-related issues, and/or policy violations, and communicate with residents, visitors, local law enforcement, and Allied Universal management as needed.
  • Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and after-hours checks while maintaining a professional presence and following all post orders and armed post requirements.
