Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a residential location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support residents with strong customer service and communication. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, document daily events and/or incidents, and report concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
- Support residential location operations by observing surroundings, addressing resident concerns, and assisting with de-escalation and/or coordination with public emergency responders when needed.
