As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will interact with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability. Requirements

Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

An armed guard card or license is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns or incidents to the appropriate authorities and/or Allied Universal management.
Control access to designated areas and verify identification as needed in accordance with location policies.
Assist visitors and employees by providing directions and general information about the location as requested.
Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding daily activities, incidents, and patrols as required by Allied Universal and the client.
Participate in ongoing training and maintain required certifications for armed security-related duties.
