Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Manson, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct regular patrols and maintain a strong presence to help deter security-related incidents. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will build positive relationships through excellent customer service and communication, while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and integrity. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for any suspicious behavior and report findings according to established protocols.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
Document all incidents and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
Follow all protocols related to the handling and carrying of firearms as required by the post assignment.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development as required by Allied Universal and the assigned location.
