Requirements
- An armed guard card/license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Serve in an armed patrol role, carrying authorized equipment in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines while maintaining professionalism during public interactions.
- Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verify credentials when required, and/or support visitor and employee screening processes consistent with location protocols.
