Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer supporting a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, government facility policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, observing for conditions that could help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and/or local public agencies as directed.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization, screening visitors according to post orders, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
  • Complete timely written reports and logs of patrol activities, incidents, and security-related observations, and communicate relevant information during shift briefings and handoffs.
