Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services when required.
Maintain detailed and accurate daily activity reports and incident reports as instructed by Allied Universal and client requirements.
Follow all procedures for the secure handling of firearms, including proper storage, carrying, and use in accordance with law and company policy.
Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and/or the public while maintaining a professional presence.
Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift, adapting to changing conditions or needs at the location.
