Armed Security Officer - Driving Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Vanceboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and remaining a visible presence at a government location. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. Requirements
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Have at least 6 months of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as required.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate conflict resolution skills.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location, including the perimeter and designated areas, to help to deter potential security-related issues.
- Monitor for suspicious activity or unauthorized individuals and report findings according to established protocols.
- Work closely with Allied Universal management and local law enforcement when necessary to address incidents and/or emergencies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all patrol activities, incidents, and observations as required by site policy.
