About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Vanceboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and remaining a visible presence at a government location. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Have at least 6 months of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate conflict resolution skills.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location, including the perimeter and designated areas, to help to deter potential security-related issues.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity or unauthorized individuals and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Work closely with Allied Universal management and local law enforcement when necessary to address incidents and/or emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all patrol activities, incidents, and observations as required by site policy.
