Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Campus Patrol in Palm Springs, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm professionalism. You will support patients, visitors, and staff through clear communication, accurate reporting, and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, posted orders, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, access issues, and security-related alarms and/or calls for assistance.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and the perimeter; observe and report conditions that may help to reduce risk to people, property, and operations.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, following visitor management procedures, and coordinating with site personnel regarding after-hours entry and/or special access requests.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, document incidents, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as required.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
